MUNIvers Announces Partnership with Westbank First Nation, Advancing Digital Transformation in Indigenous Governance

Westbank First Nation Joins the MUNIvers Platform

Westbank First Nation, a recognized leader among self-governing First Nations in Canada, is located in the Okanagan Valley and is one of eight communities of the Okanagan Nation. WFN’s membership includes more than 900 Members, while WFN lands are home to over 11,000 residents and a thriving business community. Since achieving self-government in 2005, WFN has exercised legislative authority over its lands, services, and community programs, creating a strong foundation for long-term economic development, effective governance, and community prosperity.  

Through this partnership, WFN will implement the MUNIvers Revenue Operations Platform to support core administrative and community-facing services, including Property Tax and Utility Billing, within a unified and modern digital environment designed specifically for local and self-governing government operations.

This engagement represents a shared commitment to strengthening service delivery while respecting and enabling Westbank First Nation’s sovereignty, governance structure, and long-term vision for their community.

WFN’s selection of MUNIvers followed an independent and objective software evaluation process supported by SoftResources LLC. This included a rigorous needs assessment exercise, a formal RFP process, and multi-day scripted demonstrations from shortlisted vendors.
